Welcome to Aberaeron

As Town Mayor, it gives me great pleasure to introduce this website. This popular website has proved itself to be a great source of useful information for all that is going on in Aberaeron, whether you are a local resident, a first-time visitor or one of the many regular visitors who have been smitten by our lovely town. Aberaeron is a special place with so much to do and entertain you throughout the year, and information about various events can be found within this website. However, if you want to know more, then please visit our local Library or the Tourist Information Centre, where they will be happy to help you.

Whatever you are looking for we hope you will find it in Aberaeron. Make the most of our scenic Georgian town and the local area by taking a walk along the prom, the river or to one of the many’ parks and green spaces around town. There are many waymarked trails and footpaths and you will find details about some of them in this guide. If you wish to be a little more adventurous, the town provides opportunities to take part in a host of sports and activities from traditional ball sports to outdoor pursuits, sailing, rowing and running. There is something for everybody in the town and local area.

If you are in need of refreshment, there are many quality and award-winning pubs, restaurants and food outlets to choose from that are open all day, not to mention many quality local businesses and tradespeople, so please support them if you get the opportunity. Just flick through the pages of this website and make the most of what Aberaeron has to offer. Aberaeron is a special place and I am sure you will have a great time.
