Welcome to Aberaeron

On behalf of the town’s residents, I am delighted to welcome you to beautiful Aberaeron. Whether this is your first visit or you are returning, this guide will provide you with all the information you need on how to get the best out of your visit, including interesting articles and a comprehensive list of our exciting programme of festivals and events.

Please enjoy our town centre, businesses work so hard to ensure that what is on offer is of the highest standard and we pride ourselves in making the town as smart as possible for your visit – never resting on our laurels. Away from our lovely bars, restaurants, cafes and beautiful shops, you will find tranquillity in our parks, and the riverside walk is magical. For information on the coastal and cycle path please pop into our Tourist Information Centre on Quay Parade, particularly if you wish to book accommodation or extend your stay. Who could blame you, our boutique guest houses and hotels are of the highest quality in design and comfort!

The Town Council is working with businesses to become a single-use plastic free town and our long partnership with the Town Improvements Committee has seen us refurbish the original gates of Cae Sgwar or ‘Square Field’.

In the centre of town which this year will be granted the status of Ceredigion’s official ‘Centenary Field’ in commemoration of the end of the First World War. We are naturally very proud. Above all, please enjoy your time here, we value your visit very much and sincerely hope that you return.
